Olives Cafe & Wine Bar; Edmonds, WA

This little Pizza Place has great food, nice decor and a fun waitstaff. The Menu is one of a kind and a Happy Hour is available for 1/2 price drafts and $5 glasses of wine. There is no sign on the building, so it's a bit hard to find, but just look for the place with a lot people inside and a wood fire oven. We were slightly confused on the name because sometimes it's Olives Cafe & Wine Bar and sometimes it's Il Buffone.

I thought this place was pretty good overall. At first, I was getting frustrated with the slow service, but once we got our beers it was fine for the rest of the meal.

We decided to go family style on the food, so we could try more. The salad: Great! - The Pizza: Greasy Good - The Mac & Cheese: The BEST EVER!!

We got our food in three courses, which was exciting. First, we got the Salad. The "Gem Salad" had Bacon, Salami, Tomatoes, Avocado and a Ranch Style Dressing. I thought it was good and a big portion, definitely enough for two as an app.  Next, was the "Truffle Mac & Cheese" --  I would go back just for the Mac, it was even better than Stanford's. It had Chicken and Cheese and more Cheese... it was super good! Lastly, the Goggo (or something like that) Pizza. It had Basil, Tomato Sauce, Homemade Sausage, and Mozzarella Cheese. It was good, and the pizza was a good size... I would say probably one meal. The beer was good. I had the Blonde, it was locally brewed, but I think they specialize in Wine.

Overall, I would go back and try a different pizza to see what the other's were like... and of course order the Mac & Cheese.

The decor was great too. Dim lights and a chain link separation between the Bar and Restaurant. Everything appeared to be handmade and rustic. We walked right in and got a table. They were pretty busy, but had a couple tables available. People we still coming in too, this seems like a place that can get pretty busy!
